More recently, in 2013, Silk Road Association was formulated as an International Organization in Xian, Shaanxi Province, People's Republic of China in 2013 during the Silk Road Mayors Conference based on the charter signed by the Mayors of the Silk Road Countries. The first chairperson & President was Ms.Rajni Abbi - Mayor of Delhi,Republic of India.
Silk Road Association members are Silk Road Cities along the Silk Road, Silk Road Countries National Chamber of Commerce & Trade Bodies, Government Institutions, NGO's and Silk Road Countries Universities. The member ship to Silk Road Association is free.
